RFCS Gippsland and Wellness Worx have developed A Detect And Protect Training (ADAPT) online program to assist SMEs to deliver wellness support tailored to their client and organisational needs.

ADAPT incorporates a structured case management approach which will equip your team with the skills and knowledge to support clients to make sustainable life changes reducing situational and financial distress.

 

Throughout the ADAPT Program you will have access to established frameworks, tools and resources as well as ongoing mentoring to deliver a Wellness Program.

BY THE END OF THE TRAINIING YOU WILL:

  • Be fully inducted as a Wellness Support Officer 
  • Have access to the documentation and client management tools you need to support your clients
  • Have a tested and proven process to onboard clients, engage staff and liaise with stakeholders

ADAPT Training includes

An online training program made up of 6 lessons

The ADAPT training contains 6 lessons to help you support your clients effortlessly!

LESSON 1

Wellness Support Officer Induction

Get fully inducted into the ADAPT program and learn how to navigate the system and resources. Plus understand the time commitment and effort required for your learning.

LESSON 2

Staff Engagement

Learn how to interview, educate and inform your organisation about the role of Wellness Support Officer. You’ll also learn how to support your team with the onboarding process.

LESSON 3

Client Engagement

Learn how to onboard, assess and review new and existing clients, gain an understanding of the behavioural change model, and develop an action plan to help your clients overcome barriers so they can succeed.

LESSON 4

Stakeholder Engagement

Learn how to identify who your stakeholders are and why you need to engage them. You will learn the importance of networking and how to best communicate with Stakeholders to increase the success of the wellness program.

LESSON 5

Understanding Risk

Understand how to manage risk for yourself and your organisation. Learn more about incident reporting and risk management.

LESSON 6

Continuous Improvement

Access training and development for continued improvement in your role as a Wellness Support officer.

About your mentor – Christine Boucher


Christine has spent over 20 years working in the healthcare industry, and has transitioned to preventative healthcare in business and community. Her goal is to help people understand the importance of their health and wellbeing, and how vital it is to be proactive in making it a priority.

Christine works as a Corporate Health & Performance Coach, and also mentors other health and wellness coaches and consultants to work in business and community health. She provides them with skills, insights and knowledge to empower them to be a powerful frontline force in preventative healthcare.

Christine was instrumental in delivering the extremely successful Wellness pilot program for RFCS Gippsland in 2021 and is excited to be continuing the journey of bringing Wellness support to the RFCS industry via the ADAPT program.

Christine’s skills, experience and qualifications include: 
  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Diploma in Intensive Care Nursing
  • Diploma in Bowen Therapy
  • Level 3 Health and Wellness Coaching
  • Masters of Business Administration 
  • HCANZA Health & Wellness Coach of the year 2023
